Rizzolo Guitar Company has been in operation for over
25 years.
Gary Rizzolo has been involved in the music industry as a performer
from the mid sixties. This involvement in music led to a passion for
guitars and since 1976 Gary has been building and repairing guitars.
Qualifications include a Diploma in Crafts as well as a Bachelor of
Fine Arts Degree - Design in Wood from the University of Tasmania.
"I come from a family of artisans. The instruments that I make are a
collaborative effort, and this tends to produce creative and unique
instruments. Tasmania produces very fine tonal timbers and these are
used extensively along with fine European and American hardwoods. I am
committed to building instruments of the highest quality.”

Electric guitars and bass guitars feature solid one
piece bodies with highly figured tops.
Some of the timbers available are -Fiddle Back Blackwood, Quilted
Tasmanian Oak, Walnut, Figured Myrtle, Birdseye & Flamed Maple.
Many other species are available.
Guitar bodies can be flat or carved, with wooden
binding or with radiused edges.
High access bolt on necks have Rosewood or Ebony
fretboards with abalone dots.
Schaller or Sperzel tuners for solid tuning.
Rizzolo guitars feature vintage sound, great sustain
and excellent playability.
